PhD Students

We are always seeking excellent graduate students with self-motivation and passion for research. Master and Bachelor students interested in our research directions are welcome to join our group. We have some vacancies for following programmes:

Candidates are required to satisfy the basic requirement of CityU. Priorities will be given to prospective candidates with following background:

1. Research experience in synthesis of inorganic nanomaterials;


2. Research experience in electrochemistry;


3. Skills in device fabrication and application;


4. Strong background in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Sciene and other related subjects;


5. Capacity of independent thinking, scientific research and teamwork spirit;


6. Excellent writing and oral English skills; TOFEL≥79 or IELTS≥6.5.

The future research directions would be:

1. Wet chemical synthesis of noble metal nanomaterials;


2. Synthesis of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs).
