Welcome to visit our group website!
When the size of materials shrinks to the nanometer scale, some unconventional phases are feasibly attainable and thus the materials display some novel properties. Our group focuses on the phase engineering of nanomaterials (PEN), including direct synthesis of nanomaterials with new phase, phase transformation of nanomaterials, controlled epitaxial growth of heterostructures, and preparation of amorphous and amorphous–crystalline heterophase nanomaterials. The PEN offers us an unconventional and fundamental insight into modulating materials’ physico-chemical properties and functions, allowing us to further explore their promising applications in catalysis, clean energy, (opto-)-electronic devices, water remediation, sensors, biomedicine, etc. We work together to enrich the crystal database of nanomaterials based on the Periodic Table of Elements.
